The decade in sports
I kind of dropped the ball as far as updating this “everyday until the new year.” All I have to say is, “my bad.”
When you’re on vacation from school and work, one of the last things I want to do is write (then again, I don’t want to do much anyways). Once more, I apologize for my lethargic state as of late — being a more proactive writer is already one of my New Year’s resolutions.
I would write a long, drawn-out recanting of the last decade of sports in general, but it can actually be summed up pretty well with this montage created by ESPN — it’s brilliant stuff that basically covers every major sporting event of the past decade (minus the other football of course, but that’s expected — to my dismay).
Yes, there are much heavier things to write about, but that’s not what my blog is about. There have been huge news stories this decade, but I’ll leave that to much more credible publications like Time Magazine. In a way, sports can have a huge impact on society as well — look at the movie Invictus. Anyways, enjoy the montage.
